Hi,I recently purchased a Mitsubishi WS-65908 HD ready wide screen TV. I hooked up the TV to the cable box. The "Reset Factory Default" was somehow not so good. I've tried to adjust the 64 individual points a couple of time, the picture looked a little bit better. But the picture still looks distorted. The HBO and Showtime channels looked better than the news channel.
1. Is there a better way to adjust/align the red, blue and green colors to appear white? Some points I still couln't make them to appear white.
2. Do I need to have an expert to come to my house and adjust the colors?
3. If I install DirectTV, will the picture looks better than if I use the cable box?
Thanks in advance,
Nick

When you buy a new TV the factory setting's are set to look good to the consumer on the showroom floor. Generally the contrast is way to high, sharpness is way off, black level, etc. What you should do is find a ISF certified technician in your area to calibrate your tv for you. It is fairly expensive but well worth it. You can find a dealer by going to imagingscience.com . Or you could get "video essentials" or "AVIA guide to home theater" but this won't be near as good as having your set professionaly calibrated.
Thanks for the info.
