Video Asylum

I have two questions: #1, will the player pass PLUGE (video information below black) and #2, is there an adjustment for video black level (0 IRE and 7.5 IRE)? I tried the Sony website -- this information is not listed, Sony Customer Service -- still no answer after 3 days, a Best Buy salesperson -- (I'll wait until you stop laughing...) and also asked to see a manual -- was told ALL of the manuals are locked up somewhere and it would take 2 1/2 hours to find the one I was looking for. I walked over to the SACD display and on top of the 650D player was a bag containing the remote, cables and a manual. Unfortunately it was for the 650D and I could find no real mention of these features (at least not using the proper terminology).
