I've noticed that my SR8000 is sounding quiter with less bass at the same volume levels with no mods to the system.I have Jm labs Cobalt 810s with Marantz DV7000 DVD/CD with Tara Labs interconnect and digital coaxial.
Any advice would be great.

I seen your post several days ago... and didn't know what to think about it.
I commend you on your fine choice of equipment.
Last night, I had a very disturbing thing happen. My left tower speaker (JMLab 715) lost volume. Well, to make a long story short... the banana termination to my reciever (Marantz SR7200) had gone flaky. By pressing on it, the speaker actually change volume and timber. Very strange! Eventually, it quit working all together.
This probably has nothing to do with your problem... but isn't it interesting?
