I recently resurrected my Techniques SL-3300. It's a low/mid-fi TT at best, but the first thing I did was get a new cartridge for it (Grado Blue from Music Direct.) DEFINITELY a good move.

I'm going to get a new/better TT in the future, but for now, this works just about right.
