I currently own what I think is a pretty good DVD video player. I'm considering getting a DVD audio player and/or an SACD player. Right now I've bought some DVD-A music discs, but played them through their DTS trackes on by DVD video player. I know this may be a foolish question (not my first or last!) but given that I'm choosing high quality DVD-A discs, will I notice the difference going to DVD-A (or SACD) from how I'm listening now (the 5.1 track on DVD-video)?Thanks in advance.

IMO you will notice a nice increase in performance, with a couple of tradeoffs.Depending on player, you will likely have no bass management or time alignment. Bass management is important if you don't have full range speakers all around. Time alignment is helpful, if your speakers have drastically differing speaker distances.
Hope this helps.
