Sorry, I can't help, though I have an RP56 too. I know it's not what you asked, but here's the thing: in my HT "system" (i.e. kluge) I have 3 CDP's, 2 DVDP's, a receiver, a VCR, a preamp, and a TV. These are the items that have remotes. I am not an octopus. And I have other systems that use remotes too. The thing to do at a certain system complexity or frustration level is to get a learning remote. Then you never have to worry about codes, and only need one set of batteries. There are suitable units from $20 to $1000, but some good ones in the $100+ range, touchscreen is desirable. Set it up the way you use your system, and just copy the codes you use, nice neat easier-to-use layout. Much more pleasant to just use one remote for everything. Also, the better learning remotes put out a huge wide angle signal, gives more flexibility in equipment arrangement as the sensor windows don't even have to be visible, can bounce IR off the walls or anything hard.

Somebody at www.remotecentral might have the RP56 codes...
