A good friend of mine called me last night and asked me what I would recommend. He does not like to spend money. Like, Big Time doesn't like to spend money. With that in mind, I recommended the Klipsch Reference series speakers and surround system due to the low price and very high effeciency of these speakers AS LONG AS HE gets a very good amp or receiver to drive them. He is also a professional musician so he (and his friends) would hate it if the system sounded mid-fi. The best sounding receiver I have ever heard was a B&K receiver. Motorola claims to use B&K as a testing ground for some of their most recent technology. The problem with B&K is that our local dealer stopped carrying them. Can you please recommend a system for my musician friends new HUGE living room? He says he wants surround. He is in charge of all music and sound effects for Microsoft, X-Box, and Sony video games that are produced under the Volitian label so he wants to hear how his work translates to a killer surround system with hi-end standards.
Thank you,
Mike
