...but I tend towards DVDs mastered close to 1.85:1, as I bought a widescreen TV to get away from the 'sliver of a picture across the middle of the screen' effect. A larger picture offers more detail to my eyes, and I can see grain when I use the zoom mode, so I avoid that method of filling the screen.

  I don't keep this info in my database, but I did notice that for one the "Men in Black" package says ~1.85 is the theatrical ratio.
