I own a reference 30 overall I like it there could be some things better on it. It does have analog pass thru, 5.1 analog inputs for DVD-A or SACD, HD component inputs, THX EX and THX certification. It does not have DTS-ES or Dolby Pro Logic II. There is supposed to be an upgrade within this year adding atleast DPLII I've heard it both ways about the DTS-ES. There's also talk of the REF 40 which is supposed to be around 4000.00 with everthing. I'm not familiar with the Parasound so I can't comment on it.

Hi,
my first B+K was $1K, then one I have now was voer $2K new, then they went 3K, and now you are saying the new ones will be $4k. Not in this lifetime, prob not even used.
That's what my dealer told me. I've heard other people say they might not even release a REF 40.
