Hummmmmmm... I was looking at HGTV also and don't seems to have the same fuzzies.... what part of the country do you live in and also you may want to ask DirecTV what transponder HGTV is on and check other channels on the same transponder to see if you get similar results...

I live in Southern California and HGTV comes in fine.... i supposed it could be the tuner/decoder in your receiver also. What make/mdeol of reciever do you have?
