I have a Toshiba SD-9200 and when feeding composite my Quadscan Elite via component input and then to the Mitsubishi X-100 FP via RGB, I notice those banding. I've noticed the same thing when it was fed through a DVDO Iscan Pro. But when I feed the projector via its composite input (don't have S-video cable long enough), the banding is not there.

Are these signals handled differently via component and composite?
