Denon or B&K receiver should do the trick. For speakers, check out the PSB Image series, great bang for buck, floorstanders and monitors, some of them are quite small & decor friendly plus they'll play MUSIC too. Another decor friendly speaker, though harder to find, is the Gallo Nucleus, about the size of a soft ball. They'll need a sub. Don't remember the price but they're not exepensive. And they're really cute.
