Yes, but only if your projector is able to decode progressive scan.... first came component, then later came component with progressive scan...

I believe this is the historical order for this side of the pond (US)

1. RF (Coax)
2. Composite (single RCA connector for all video signal..typically yellow)
3. S-Video (one cable carries separate conductors for Luminance,Chrominance)
4. Component (separate cables for each)
5. Component with Progressive Scan (3:2 pulldown, etc..)
