I am at a study abroad program in Italy, and we would like to make a gift to the center of a dvd player and many dvds. I can buy a dvd player in the U.S. and even make certain that it has a universal transformer to allow use on 220 v. and buy U.S. dvds. But I do not think U.S. dvd players can be used with European tvs. Is that correct? Alternatively I can buy the player and dvds in England to assure compatability with European tvs. What shall I do?
Follow Ups:
Most tv in Europe will play NTNC signal, but if you can buy in England that is the way to go....and most are code free( easy to do ) so that you can buy U.S dvd´s...
