My entertainment room is an add-on built above my garage. The opening and closing of my automatic garage door sends waves of vibration through the floor, which in turn shakes my Panasonic 47WX51 RPTV out of whack so I'm having to refocus convergence every 2-3 weeks. Plus it's being ISF calibrated late next month and I don't want to undo all the good work the tech has done. The unit is on 4 casters, so things like Vibrapods are out -- any other suggestions? Thick mouse pads? Thanks in advance . . .
Follow Ups:
I am about to try some simple platforms that I saw at a friend's house. Basically a 1 inch thick slab of rock (slate) on top of a bicycle inner tube. Inflate the tube until the rock and electronics are "floating". Makes a big difference and cheap to build.James
You might also want to try to add some isolation to the garage door opener. My in-laws added some rubber gasket between the unit and ceiling and it made a HUGE difference.
