If you can afford the Loewe Anaconda get it it's awesome. Unfrotunatly like you I only had around 2000.00 to spend to. After comparing many direct view HDTV's I ended up with the RCA F38310. It has a very good HD picture. DVD's also look good. Satelite or digital cable isn't that great unfortunatly. Another thing about the RCA that's could be improved would be to have more than oneset of component inputs. There is also no video output so you can't record to TIVO or a VCR. The price on the sets are very good now. Check one out. Oh yeah if you get the set calibrated it makes HDTV and DVD look a hell of a lot better than what you will see in a showroom or out of the box.
