In my home theater I have a gas fire place that rattles pretty bad on certain frequencies. Is there something that I could attach the fireplace to absorb the vibration?

If it's rattling your fireplace, what is it doing to your ears? Seriously, if you have a gas fireplace like I do that has wire mesh over glass (for safety), invest in a double-paned (insulated) glass fireplace screen. The outside glass is warm to the touch but doesn't burn your fingers but there is no screen to rattle.
