So you have to run an S-video (or probably composite will work, don't know for sure) cable from receiver to TV too. It's a pain, because you have to select a different TV input when adjusting the receiver, but luckily you shouldn't need that menu too much once everything is set up right.

The OSD, it turns out, only works in composite; neither S-Video nor component will carry the signal. Who'd a thunk it?
