Let me give you a suggestion...*What's her favorite movie or DVD?* *Who's her favorite movie star?*
Trust me on this, the material doesn't have to be reference quality video with demonstration level sound. It has to be something she *likes*. (Women are usually not as much into the digits - we're into the STORY.)

Some of my favorite DVDs -- You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Philadelphia (see a trend there??? yes, I'm a big TH fan), as well as Meet Joe Black -- are not necessarily the best in terms of audio or picture quality but they contain some of my favorite actors (Hanks, Ryan, and Hopkins).Good advice, Harmonia!
A great movie (I'm also a Tom Hanks fan) with a great director and a tremendous soundtrack. The music really adds to this movie, and w/ Hanks you have (one of his) Oscar-winning performance. It's a sad movie, though. Take that into account.
