If I need four lines to be split from my cable signal and I use a 1 in 3 out splitter and then put a 1 in 2 out splitter on one of the "outs" from the 1 in 3 out, does each line receive the same signal as if I use a 1 in 4 out splitter or does the 1 in 4 out give each line a stronger signal?
Follow Ups:
1-4 will give more equal signal than combination of 2 splitters (1-3, and 1-2). Total strenght of the signals is going to be the same for both options, just more even in 1-4.
But how signal is going to be split is more related to type of loading after splitter than the splitter itself.
With 4 lines to be driven, you may consider some RF amp before splitter. This should fix problems, if you cannot live with them.
