I've evaluated most of the widescreen RPTV's out there, and this particular model really stood out-it was just sharper and clearer than the rest (Sony, Mitsubishi, Toshiba). In consumer reports latest reliability rankings for rear projection TV's, Hitachi was ranked #1. (I wouldn't use CU for subjective quality ratings, but I consider them a good source for frequency of repair statistics). Mitsubishi also makes a quality product, but they seem require more tweaking (ISF calibration) to look thier best.
