disconnect the coax-cable at the HTS800 also.... IF it's a ground loop, the problem will likely be there whether the cable box is on or off..... it's a voltage differential between the ground for the cable and your system....

IF disconnecting the Coax cabel works then you have a few options:

1. find the place where the cable comes in to your house and ground ground it to the same source as your house is....

2. get a ground-loop breaker and install it prior to the HTS800...NOT AFTER!!
