I have a 27" "middle level" WEGA set and I love it. One of its features/benefits is that when watching DVDs in letterbox format, the tube sqeezes ALL the lines into the picture; in other words, you're not wasting video lines on black. The picture is great and the price is reasonable.

A friend has a 32" Wega and DVD reproduction is simply superb. Vivid colors, black blacks, excellent shadow detail, and a "reach out and touch it" dimensionality. If you can, I would go 36" since the letterboxing will make the effective screen size smaller.
