I've been mulling between Panasonic PT-53WX52 and a Toshiba 50HDX82. Without considering the price differential, I'm looking for subjective opinions from anyone owning either. I'm leaning towards the Toshiba after seeing the older model, the 50H82, in a few stores. Even passersby continually selected it as the best picture with it sitting amongst a Pnasonic 42" LCD, Samsung projections and a bunch of others. I also thought it had a mrginally better pitcure than the Panasonic LCD and was far and away better than anything else I've seen except perhaps a Pioneer Elite I saw at Tweeter, for just $3000 more.

I have always been told you cannot judge a tv's performance by what you might see in the store. something to do with interference and/or the inability or indifference of the peope who work there in setting up the different tvs. I don't know if this is actaully true or not and I would like to hear comments on this topic.

why not just get the Toshiba if you liked it that much?
