Hi Guys,
I had posted this on the Tweakers Forum and the responses I got were my tv is dying. I think it might be too but I thought I`d try over here to see what you think. I have an older Sharp TV (10+ Years). Recently, I had Digital Cable hooked up at my house. With regular cable, the TV worked fine. Now, it seems to need a long warm up. I only see half the screen for a while with lots of black lines along the bottom and the picture never seems to settle down. That is, it seems to bounce up and down. Is this a compatibility problem with an old tv and new digital or is the old girl on her last legs. Thanks in advance, Happy New Year
Bruce

...if it's not the digital receiver, then what's left? You tried another TV and it worked ok. Try the Sharp w/o the digital box. If you still have problems, then I'd bet the ol' Charpie is on it's last gasp. Hey, ten years from a TV that probably wasn't all that expensive to begin with ain't too bad. My Sharp died after about 10 years too. RIP and on to bigger and better TV's.
