Has anyone purchased the Daewoo DP-42SM 42" plasma available at Best Buy? If so, how do you like it? It's currently advertised for $2995 and seems to have some good specs for brightness and contrast ratio when compared against the competition at this same price level. Any comments/opinions will be appreciated. Thanks!Donald North

Yes, we did.We use it purely as a screen, so i have no idea about the sound quality... Its a nice picture ... the default settings are a little on the dark side ... but on the whole, its a nice screen for the price.
It doesn't appear to be significantly brighter or more contrasting than any other machines
The only thing I dislike about it, is a requirement to cycle through the inputs, rather than just being able to select the input required.

I have one, and the screen does not handle pure white well. It burns out, i.e. text on a white background is unreadable. Also with more white on the screen, the unit hums more.Is this hum normal?
