Thanks - it happened that what you described is what I did. It's pretty close to one of the setups they show in the manual. When I asked my question didn't the TV or manual, so was going into my anxiety attack mode. It came late yesterday. It's taking a lot of getting use to it. I'm not sure how much "we'll" like it - there's so much difference between the new look and that of the 27" 1989 Zenith that smoked itself.I'm a little disappointed that I may not be able to use PIP in some cases and also that I turn the VCR on to use the cable box. I need to get more cables and splitters!! Thanks again. Fran
Follow Ups:
I did some experimenting and by adding a coax from my "VCR out" to the TV "Aux in," I can view the cable box with the VCR off. Apparently this allows he signal to go through the VCR while it's turned off. Thanks again. Fran
