Hi.I have noticed that on certain movies, the Toshiba SD 9200 picture output is noticebly more rough and has more 'gravely' pictues than when I switch over to the interlaced output.
Any one else have the problem and is there a way to rectify it?
I have Toshiba 42 inch widescreen, monster component cables and, of course, the Toshiba SD 9200 DVD V/A player.
Thanks!

I think what you are experiencing is known as "combing". It generally happens for short period of time when the source material on a DVD switches from film to video or vice versa. It can also happen for longer periods of time if video or film is incorrectly flagged on the DVD. It would only happen when the 9200 is in progressive mode. It's a result of the chipset in the 9200 being unable to accurately determine whether you are watching a film or video source. It is possible to manually select film/video mode from the remote.
You may want to check your settings. If you're playing a DTS DVD, press the "set up" button on the remote, toggle over to "audio," select "bitstream," and make sure your setting on your receiver/processor is correct as well. You probably already know this, but if not, try it ... G'luck!
