1) You may be surprised at the cost. This screen (which has a specific dot pitch), will determine the picture quality of your set. Contact a Sony parts distributer.2) Without dropping $500+ on an ISFA professional calibration, I would recommend you pick up either the Video Essentials or Avia Guide to Home Theater DVDs. Either will help you properly adjust your RPTV for better performance. Not as good as a pro calibration, but worth every penny for the improvements. These DVDs are available everywhere, including Amazon and JandR.com.

...professional calibration will transform it. Couldn't believe the before and after on a friend's Mitsubishi. If you got this for free, for heaven's sake get it calibrated (after 100 hours break in.) Ypu'll be glad you did.My friend's calibration was under $500, BTW, from Gregg Loewen.
Allows you to get the best possible picture without an expensive calibration. However, I found that a high-level ISF calibration produced a stunning, almost lifelike picture."Video Essentials" can be rented from Netflix if you're a subscriber. They don't have Avia, though.
