Audible at normal volume whether or not a signal is being received.
This only comes through the standard TV setting, not the component inputs, and when output through the HT amp, it transmits the distortion. The cable box, however, is clean when output through the amp, so its coming from the TV, (or possible bad interconnects, though I doubt it). Any thoughts?I have already had to return two of these sets for bizzare problems with the sound, including one set that raised its own volume up to maximum, with no external input, and in fact, redid it when my wife attempted to lower it back down.
This set was too damn expensive to be such a problematic P.O.S., and I'll be damned if I let Panasonic pull this one to Atlanta, where they can hold it for three months, bash it around a bit, declare that there's nothing wrong, and send it back all the worse for wear (i.e. a replay of what happened to set #1) Anyone else had QC problems with these?
Follow Ups:
I've had the same soudn problem, but with my TOSHIBA!!!!
I finally got fed up enough to open the box, and disconnect the speakers (I don't use them anyway!).Cheers,
Dman
