In Reply to: Which DVD to buy. Pioneer dv37 or Denon dvd1600 posted by lsyankees on May 15, 2003 at 05:41:28:
My Pioneer Elite DV-05 failed on me twice, so reliability obviously wasn't one of the more important design concerns. "Elite" my ass. I haven't read many positive things about Pioneer players, so this is probably a shared experience.I've had the Denon 1600 for just under a week now and I'm really impressed. I use a projector with an 8' screen, so picture faults and digital artifacts tend to be really obvious... but they're not apparent with this player! (Gotta love the trickle-down effect, it also benefits from Faroudja technology.)
