After a thunderstorm one night, I noticed my dish satellite television system was no longer working the next morning. I run cable out of my satellite receiver to my VCR and out of it to my television. Thinking lightening had fried my receiver, I tried running cable from my receiver directly to my television only to find my receiver works fine.Thinking the problem has to be with my VCR--after assuring myself that my cables are still working--I began tinkering with my VCR, but can find nothing wrong. It still plays and records; yet when I try rehooking cable through it and to my television, in order to record satellite broadcasts I cannot get satellite picture, only local stations.
