I have a Sony KF-50 XBR900 (HDTV Capable 1366x768) LCD Projection TV and unfortunately Adelphia cable TV service. The TV displays a better picture from the analog cable (without the Digital Cable Box) than it does through the digital cable box. The only way to get the premium channels is via the cable box (due to encryption)...What is worse is my Sony TiVo only works through the cable box...
Adelphia is the company that was the victim of the owners stealing all the $ and I expect that Cable HDTV is years away...
What to do? Any thoughts?
Thanks... Paul

That way you can say "F 'em" to the crooks @ Adelphia.
but... I live in an area with lots of tall trees and I haven't approached the satellite possibility because of the trees.Ironically, Adelphia was upgrading the cable (somewhere upstream of my house) today with a fiber optic cable which will allow the use of a better cable box... and two way internet access but not HDTV (yet). I have been asking them about the upgrade and they never ever commit to anything. Very Frustrating. At least they are doing the upgrade they promised years ago.
