A question...My Pioneer Elite DV-05 has been a good DVD player, but it's getting a bit long in the tooth, so to speak. I'd really like to get progressive scan, SACD, DVD-Audio, and if possible, upsampling support in whatever replaces it.
The 45A and 47Ai units seemed to have a pretty decent reputation at one time. Are these still considered good units or are there better values out there these days? I'm a bit out of touch with the current sweet spot in the market, and would appreciate feedback from owners of these units or competing products.
Thanks in advance!

BQ,
I have really enjoyed my 45A since this past winter. As some might point out, it is a jack-of-all master-of-none, but for the minimal investment, I can not complain. I get full access to all formats. I think the new formats and their related technologies (BM, TM, digital links, digital amps, etc) will continue to mature and come down in price. I will sit on the sidelines before spending more money on a new player.Having written that, several manufacturers are introducing a fresh crop of universal players this fall. Some might slightly better the 45A for similar $.
