If anything the quality will decrease. Maybe if you have an upper end Denon that upconverts the signals to component there might be an improvement.If your remote does macro's you can program it to switch the video input on your TV at the same time your reciever switches to the appropriate audio input.

It may convert an RF or composite signal simply for the convenience of running all video signals to TV from amp through one set of component wires, but I don't think you get better signal *quality.* Garbage in, garbage out.Personally, I run two sets of component wires directly from a) DVD player and b) HDTV set-top cable box directly into my RPTV. Not really too inconvenient and I believe the best signal path is the shortest, most direct one ...
