I am planning to getting a Infocus X1 projector for movies (primarily DVD) and looking for a DVD player to go with it within $300 or so. The possible candidates are the newer Denon 910 or 1200 or Pana RP-91. I will probably use the progressive output. The Denon has the Faroudja processing while the Pana is the older Genesis. Does anybody have direct experience with the progressive output of these DVD players?TIA.
Follow Ups:
The Faroudja DCDI chip built into the X1 makes a progressive scan DVD player unecessary. The X1 has component inputs which feed into the Faroudja chip. If you want to input a progressive signal you have to go through the VGA plug, bypassing the DCDI chip - definitely inferior
