I am going to purchase a small flat screen TV for my bedroom and I know absolulty nothing about them. I've seen plasma and LCD models. Whats the difference? Which is better? My budget is less than $1000.00. I intend to hook it up to my Sharp SD-SG11 digital amp minisystem, using System Audio bookshelf speakers. I have no interest in "home theater", I'm just looking for the best thin TV I can find under my budget. As the Sharp mini-system [I love this thing! Sounds better than quite a few "high end" systems I've heard.]is black, it would be great to find a flat TV in black so they matched, sitting side by side. So far, all I've seen are silver. The Sharp only has one aux input, so a built in DVD player would be a bonus, but not absolutly required. [I saw a Panasonic 17in flat screen with a built in DVD player at Curcuit City for $999.00. It, of course, was silver.] Any suggestions?

In the size range you are looking there are only LCD or CRT tvs. I think you are after a black framed LCD. I think that Panasonic makes one. The Sharps are all silver. Hope this helps.
