I hate to show my ignorance...but I do have a question. Would the jitter reduction devices that are used with digital audio (Monarchy DIP, Jisco, Genesis Lens, Camelot Dragon, Meridian 518 etc. etc.) work with SDI digital video?? Would it help. Would these devices even pass the signal??
Follow Ups:
According to Mike Conway of Focus Enhancements (who I respect a lot):"Jitter with video is less of a problem, for one the 8 or 10 bit quantization leave some wiggle room. The same devices for audio won't be capable of handling the 270Mb/sec digital video stream. While there are reclocking devices for SDI video, they are usually used to overcome level degredation due to long cable runs."
Evidently, there is not the same degree of need for jitter reduction in SDI video as there is in the audio chain
