Yes. You must get HDTV Programming, $10/mth.
You will probably get a extra receiver charge, $5/mth.
They only have a small number of satellite channels
but the receiver can pick up local HDTV broadcasts
with an external antenna.

that they had no rental or any other hd rec'r deal for current subscribers. the entry level box they sell is $399. i've had 2 of their regualar boxes die on me. one was fr a nearby lightening strike and the other just stopped working. i really dont want to own an hd box. i find them a bit frail. anybody know if dishnet does have some kind of rental offer on a hd rec'r? sound and vision says that they do. thanks
