I'm considering a small LCD TV for the bedroom. Something in the 20" to 23" range, probably a widescreen. Any recommendations? They seem to be available everywhere these days - from Walmart to BestBuy to Dell. What peripherals might I be adding to an "HD ready" LCD TV in order to only have DVD playback? I've no interest in cable or over the air television broadcasts.
Follow Ups:
I recently saw a handful of these LCD TV's at Target of all places. As for "HD ready", there are HDTV tuners for Over the Air (OTA) free HDTV broadcast. I understand that you're probably not interested in HDTV but the picture quality can be quite amazing.... better than just about any DVD available.Otherwise, the only other HD sources I know of today other than cable or satellite would be D-VHS VCR and maybe a dozen or less HD DVD's (that must be played on your PC). Oh, and there's the 'prosumer' JVC HD camcorder at $3500 MSRP.
One brand that seems to be leading the way with LCD TV's is Sharp.
