I opted to keep the bottom of the screen 4-5 feet off the ground so I could keep the center speaker "beneath" the screen. This was a compromise as I had a goal to have five (5) dentical full-range speakers for multichannel SACD. I had to give up the idea based on the (affordable) speaker combinations I was interested in.
