I have an Integra DVD player that also can play PAL format. In the showroom the guy played it through an old Sony tv to verify it. I hooked it up to my much newer JVC D series, when the disc came on there was a blip and then half the image was sheared off. I took the DVD to the Good Guys and the DVD players that accepted pal all played the disc through the 20 inch Panasonics that they had ringing the area. Does any one know what going on and what if anything can be done? I'm going to get a flat screen crt soon. Will these play Pal discs?

Most television sets in the US are NTSC-only, and will not display PAL-source pictures.In order to play PAL discs you must have one of the following:
1. A DVD player that outputs PAL, _and_ a television that supports PAL.
