Anyone using or have experience on the ONKYO TXSV727 A/V receiver? I bought this 8 years ago for my 1st HT system and now would like to use just the amp section for the upgrade on my new HT. I'm looking for a processor to mate with it that is up to speed with component video / HDMI / DVI / HDTV. Someone suggested the Technics SH-AC500D. Thanks.

Bascially you are looking for a modern pre-pro, try outlaw. Make sure that your receiver allows for 5.1 bypass (or similar name) so that you can use the amplifer section in your receiver while bypassing the preamp section. Your receiver may not be up to the task.
