Video Asylum

With proprietary technology, is it a good idea to buy one now? I like what I see but I also like the Panasonic DLP. I am not crazy about the looks of the cabinet on the JVC and really like the clean lines of the Panasonic. The colours of the Panasonic are eye-catching but I wonder if they are not a bit too zingy? The JVC's look more natural; anything to do with the fact that it also controls yellows separately? Sort of remind me of Kodachrome vs. European or Japanese film.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
