I'm having my Sammy (the same model) installed next week, perhaps the week after. This audio/video lag you're talking ' bout is taking the wind out of my sails. The audio/video installers doing the job are the ones who recommended (very highly) the Samsung, so I tend to think that it is rarely a problem with this set. Anyway should that be a problem, I would hope they would take care of it on the spot. Are you happy with your set, otherwise? I would appreciate anything you can tell me. If you don't want to clog up your thread with this, please email me on the side. thanks in advance. peace, warren

Warren. I spoke to Samsung over the weekend. The video lag will occur every now and then when the set is upconverting 480i to 720p, it's native resolution. There is no fix for that other than seeing if your receiver has an audio delay. The audio video sync issue is between the set video and home theater audio. NOT the tv speakers. The fix Samsung has is for delays between the set picture and the set speakers. HLN's had that problem. HLP's do not. Many people are getting these confused. After a week with the set, I love it. Most standard def programs sound fine with no lag. If I do experience a lag, I just switch to the set speakers.
DVD's playing in progressive scan mode are fine. All HD broadcasts should be fine too. I'm getting my hi def box on Saturday.
got you on that. Being that I'm getting the HLP, it 'twill not be a concern. thanks for the come back....peace, warren
