I have a ground loop isolator for my satellite and it solves the ground hum problem, but it also weekens my signal from my satellite
dish to the point of loosing the signal. Would adding a satellite
gain amplifier fix this problemThanks
Follow Ups:
The ground loop isolator should NOT destroy your signal. It is probably defective, or else isn't designed to work with the high frequencies of satelite. You should use one that is designed for satelite. I use the connector on my panamax power bar to do the breaking with my HDTV cable (at least I think it breaks the ground -- it prevents surges too). The cheap ground breaker I used to have in the system didn't even work well for regular TV channels. It reduced signal strength and let in noise.
