now don't be afraid to invest in a decent A/V receiver. On the advice of Joe Murphy on this forum, I bought a Yamaha HTR-5760 receiver recently, and it's excellent! Thanks, Joe!As a strictly two-channel, tube/vinyl man, I feel no shame in admitting that this was a significant upgrade over my old Pro-Logic receiver. For one thing, I can understand the dialog now!

I believe I made a good choice also. I came close to buying the 55 inch Mitsu but happened to come across some comments on the internet about the Sony. Lord knows you cant properly demo a set at Best Buy, CC and the like.
Im already set for 5.1 for now. I had prior to the Sony a HK receiver, Panasonic DVD, Mirage center & surrounds and Hsu sub. Next move would be a DVD player with DVI/HMDI connection as well as ISF calibration or DIY Video Essentials.
Should be fun.
