Samsung either never delivers or delivers very late. There's no guarantee that they will deliver on this huge plasma display. Case in point: a year ago they demoed a 70" model and a few months later an 84" model. Neither has become a reality except for CES/CEDIA shows.

Rival Korean manufacturer LG demoed a 71" model about the same time that Samsung demoed their 70" model. A few months later, LG demoed a 76" model. However, unlike Samsung's teasing, at least 10 of LG's 71" models have been shipped to and sold in Japan and the company expects to actually begin producing these in quantity (I'd guess <100 per year due to the cost).
