In Reply to: DD 5.1 through 2 channel amp.... how to? posted by petethebeat on December 27, 2004 at 12:26:11:
So, bottom line, I still need a 5.1 channel amp or receiver right?Ok, so if I want to still play my music through my intergrated amp but use the same speakers for both (HT and 2 Channel), how would I do that?

You would take the main L/R preamp outputs from the pre/pro or receiver and feed them into an input on your integrated amp. If the amp has a HT/Bypass input, that would be ideal but, otherwise, just use any line-level input and remember to put the volume control at the same fixed setting for 5.1.
