If the only inputs is has are RF and composite, it may only be an interlaced projector. Even if the projector accepted progressive signals, the best that composite will get you is 480p.So while 480p (if it will even accept 480p) is better than 480i, your projector is probably too old to really be worth the benefits of a scaler.

Of course it can't accept 480p because composite doesn't accept progessive signals. Guess I had component on the brain.And to make matters worse, you can't use a scaler for that projector. Since 480i is the highest resolution it will accept, no scaler will output a signal that low. That's why there are no S-video or composite "outputs" on a scaler -- only inputs.
Damn. Sometimes I wish I did drugs because at least I would have something to blame this shit on...
